Woody Woodruff from Shelbyville won the fiercely competitive Men’s Division. Ronnie Colyer took first runner-up and Steve Sandlin took second runner-up.
Melanie Eifling from Franklin won the Women’s Division, with Tinsley Preston as runner-up.
The Tennessee Auctioneers Association conducted the annual Bid-Calling Competition in conjunction with the TAA Winter Convention & Seminar held December 3 & 4 in Nashville. Both winners will share the title of 2007 Tennessee Bid-Calling Champion for the year. There were seventeen contestants in the competition this year. Contestants were judged on several categories including opening statements, rhythm, speed, clarity, professional image, interaction with the audience and salesmanship.
